Danfoss History
Mads Clausen founded Danfoss on September 1, 1933, in Denmark, and then changed the name from the Danish Refrigeration Controls and Apparatus Manufacturer to Danfoss in 1946. They developed their first hydraulic product in 1964.
They continued to expand until their merger with Sauer-Sundstrand Hydraulic Pumps, which formed Sauer-Danfoss.
